Founded in 1998, Walker Academy operates as a non-profit private school for grades 3 - 12.  We have a unique teaching precept:  not every student experiences learning in the same way.

Students with creative learning styles - often known as "right brain" dominant - gain most from an educational environment that offers collaborative learning.  For these students, having an opportunity to work collaboratively with others, combined with individualized attention, often is imperative to students' success with academics, simply because of the way they process information.

In the past, many such students have suffered from the misconception that they are low achievers and, sometimes, even failures, in environments that typically are unaccustomed to providing differentiated classroom instruction.
