Through the recognition of creative learning styles and differential classroom instruction, Walker Academy provides a unique academic environment, best suited for the student desiring a more individualized plan of study. Walker Academy students achieve academic success, become more familiar with themselves and develop wise decision making skills.

A Winning Choice in Education

Founded in 1998, Walker Academy operates as a non-profit private school for grades 6 - 12.  We have a unique teaching precept:  not every student experiences learning in the same way.

Students with creative learning styles - often known as "right brain" dominant - gain most from an educational environment that offers collaborative learning.  For these students, having an opportunity to work collaboratively with others, combined with individualized attention, often is imperative to students' success with academics, simply because of the way they process information.

In the past, many such students have suffered from the misconception that they are low achievers and, sometimes, even failures, in environments that typically are unaccustomed to providing differentiated classroom instruction.

Walker Academy represents a winning choice in education, with faculty and staff who offer teaching expertise and a high level of understanding for all students who have promise and potential, but need an environment that will enable them to thrive.
